At Sea Barn Racing we take pride in treating each horse as an individual. Whether in training, breeding or supplying horses to others, our focus is on doing our best for each horse and so to realise their true potential.

Our aim is to procure and breed horses best-suited to our system and the expectations of owners.

Sea Barn Racing has had particular success in taking-on horses whose performance has started to slip below expectations either due to underlying chronic conditions or simply because they’ve become stale. Sea Barn Racing’s small team and excellent facilities, including salt-water walking, are ideally suited to bringing the best out of such horses. Through one-to-one animal care, nutrition and exercise and recuperation plans, we tailor training and management of each horse to its specific needs.

Because it is a compact yard with a good horse to lads ratio, horses at Sea Barn Racing benefit from excellent continuity of care and high standards of operation.

We also pride ourselves on the quality of the external support staff and services we employ and the quality of the other inputs we use.

Nigel Pike is our top class farrier and he is an instrumental team member whose expertise can get horses with chronic problems back on track. Our veterinary procedures are carried out by the Dorset Equine Clinic.

Our carefully formulated nutritional plans are based on a balanced mix of high quality forage and hard feeds.

In combination, all the above ensures that whether horses are in training, part of our blood-stock programme or offered for sale, they get the bespoke care they need to deliver their very best.
